The fired man saboto British Museum, exhibitions had to be closed

The man who was fired from the museum last week is suspected of closing the safety and IT systems of the British Museum.

World The London British Museum, one of the largest museums, has had to be closed partly from visitors because the fired IT worker is suspected to have penetrated and closed its systems.

According to a museum representative, a 50-year-old man had been dismissed last week. The AFP news agency and the British Broadcasting Company report BBC.

Police arrested the suspect on the spot. Police suspect the man has caused damage to several museum safety and IT systems.

Part of the museum’s permanent collection was closed on Friday as a result of the event. Temporary exhibitions will also remain closed over the weekend, the museum representative said, according to AFP.

The Museum in London was named the country’s most visited attraction last year, tells the bbc. More than 5.8 million visitors visited the museum in 2023.
