YLE’s sound problems were due to “system stuck”

In all Sunday’s sound problems were due to a defect in the broadcast system, says Yle.

For a while on Sunday, the sound was missing from all direct news, sports and current affairs on YLE’s TV1 channel.

The sound problem was solved on Sunday evening.

“The production and mission chain of YLE are complex, and it sometimes takes time to locate the fault. Unfortunately, the votes of the broadcast were left out because the system in the mission chain stuck, ”says YLE’s technology director Janne Yli-Äyhö in the bulletin.

Thus, according to the release, the reason was not recently renewed studio technology.
