Elton John will release a new album in duet with Brandi Carlile entitled “Who Believes in Angels? »»

While the interpreter of’I’m Still Standing had announced to break the creation of his next album, after losing the vision to his right eye, due to an eye infection, Elton John still reserves a few surprises for his fans. The proof, he will release a new disc on April 4, revealed the singer on Instagram on Wednesday, February 5. Small feature: the album Who Believes In Angels ? was written and recorded with Brandi Carlile.

« This disc was one of the most difficult I have never done, but it was also one of the greatest musical experiences of my life »he writes. « I wanted to make an album with Brandi Carlile because we are very good friends and I knew we could produce something really, really incredible together »he added, by sharing a video of the two working in the studio. Who Believes In Angels ? is inspired by their « musical heroes » et « of their respective lives ». The album was recorded during a twenty -day session at the Sunset Sound Records in Los Angeles in October 2023, notably with Chad Smith of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Pino Palladino and Josh Klinghoffer.

Elton John and Brandi Carlile, who have not been released respectively since 2021, are now used to working together. No later than November, they shared a duo on the title Never Too Late, Extract from the eponymous documentary dedicated to the 77 -year -old singer. To wait for the release of their disc, the duo is organizing a unique concert at London Palladium on March 26. The first single, entitled as the album is already available on YouTube.

Et album solo?

Concerning the new solo album of the interpreter of Rocket Man, It would seem that he does not come out soon. « I unfortunately lost the vision to my right eye since July because of an eye infection that I contracted when I was in the south of France »he had revealed to Good Morning America at the end of November. « It’s been four months and I still can’t see. And my left eye is not the best, had he added. I can do interviews but I can’t go to the studio and recorded because I can’t even read my scores (…). I can’t see anything or read anything ».
