SGAE Foundation summons the annual awards for theater authors with a budget of 24,000 euros

The SGAE Foundation He has summoned his annual awards for theater authors with the aim of promoting the creation of new dramatic texts and support the playwrights of the genre.

Specifically, the Jardiel Poncela Theater Award, the SGAE Children’s Theater Award for the International Contest Leopoldo Alas Mínguez for theatrical texts of LGTBIQA+themes, and the SGAE SGAE Award for theater Ana Diosdado for texts written by women.

The text delivery period will end on April 4, 2025. The jury will be made up of performing arts professionals of recognized prestige. The failure of the four awards will be made public before December 31, 2025.

The total endowment of these recognitions reaches the 24,000 euros that will be distributed among the awards. The Jardiel Poncela SGAE Award will be endowed with 8,000 euros; The SGAE Children’s Theater Award, also with 8,000 euros and 4,000 euros each of the other two awards. In addition, these distinctions recognize the inclusion of the texts in the cycle of dramatizer readings theater in La Berlanga and its subsequent publication, within the collections published by the SGAE Foundation.
