Professor Martti Häikiö is dead

Professora historian Martti Häikiö is dead.

Born in Mikkeli in 1949, Häikiö died exhausted by a long -term illness at home in Helsinki on Friday, February 7.

Häikiö, who was a free history researcher and an associate professor of political history at the University of Helsinki, was a doctorate in political science in 1976.

Häikiö chaired the Helsinki Coalition Party from 2004 to 2009. Between 1986 and 1988, Häikiö was the chairman of the Finnish Association of Finnishness and received the honorary membership of the union in 1996.

Häikiö wrote several biographies and works on the history of telecommunications, civilization, culture and politics. Häikiö’s last published work remained his father’s colonel, Court of Appeal, MP, Court of Appeal, Juuso Häikiö (1917-2003) biography Juuso Häikiö’s three lives.
