The relay of women’s literature, founded by a small group of forward -looking people – Anna Maria Crispino, Giovanna Olivieri, Maria Palazzesi, Stefania Vulterini, Maria Vittoria Vittori – has now reached her edition. Fiction and topicality will be the protagonists of the four days of women’s publishing, which will give space to dialogical debates and presentations of wise, narrative, poetry works.
From February 28 to March 3, in fact, at the International Women’s House in via della Lungara 19 in Trastevere, more than 70 authors, dialogues and presentations will use more than 70 authors. A real immersion in the continuous flow of meetings that characterize – always – the beating heart of the women’s publishing fair, Feminism. Great expectations for the two godmothers: the Campiello Giulia Caminito prize and the feminist psychoanalyst Manuela Fraire.
If this that has just opened is the Jubilee ‘of hope’, it is worth, in the context of Feminism8, to remember the words of Maria Zambrano who, in the essay “the Blessed”, defines hope as “a bridge between the indifference that borders on the annihilation of the human person and the full actualization of his purpose “. In the sign of this suggestion, the title of Feminism8 is, in fact, ‘political practices of internal lives’. It is, therefore, a secular and militant reinterpretation in a gender perspective. Too often silenced by conflict or indifference, too many times reabsorbed in confessional religions, the inner life is declined in multiple nuances and branches, from faith to meditation and self -awareness, thus escaping any reductive cataloging.
