‘1999’, Domenico Trischitta’s new book

‘1999’ will be officially presented on February 14, at the Auditorium of San Benedetto del Tronto at 18.00, and, subsequently, on Saturday 15 February at 5.00 pm, in the Sala degli Artisti di Fermo. In addition to the author Domenico Trischitta, the literary critic Daniela Marcheschi and Andrea Cardarelli will be present. On the occasion of the presentation of the 14th, works by Maurizio Governors and Pierluigi Abbondanza will be exhibited. Paolo Persia’s live music will also be performed.

Domenico Trischitta is a Catania writer, journalist and playwright. He made his debut as the theatrical author in 1999 at the Quirino Theater in Rome with the text ‘Mobile Sabbie’. As a writer he is the author of the novels ‘a radiant Catania’ (2nd edition Algra Edizioni, 2021) winner of the Martoglio 2009, ‘Glam City’ prize (Avagliano Editore, 2014); ‘The gold of San Berillo’ (Algra publisher, 2015) and the collection of stories ‘Long nights’ (Avagliano Editore, 2016). In 1995 he was a help director of Franco Battiato in Manlio Sgalambro’s’ Socrates’ Socrates’. In 2011 he participated in the ‘Sicily Sicily’ documentary by Massimiliano Perrotta, telling the Catania of the old San Berillo district.
