The Real Theater and National Heritage deliver 62,000 euros raised with ‘Stradivarius for the Dana’

The Federation of Musical Societies of the Valencian Community (FSMCV) has received on Tuesday the donation of 62,091 euros from the solidarity concert ‘Stradivarius Por La Dana’ held on January 20 at the Royal theater and that will be used for the reconstruction of the musical societies affected by the Dana.

The official delivery took place in the Alquería Julià – House of Music headquarters of the FSMCV, in an act that has brought together representatives of National Heritage, Real Theater and the affected musical societies.

The concert, jointly organized by the Royal Theater and National Heritage, had as protagonists the Stradivarius of the Palatina collection and the Casals Quartet, in a performance that allowed to collect this help in favor of the Valencian musical collective.

In the ceremony for recognition of solidarity with Valencian music, the general director of the Royal Theater, Ignacio García-Belenguer, the president of National Heritage, Ana de la Cueva and the president of the Federation of Musical Societies of the Valencian Community, of the Valencian Community, Daniela González.

During his speech, Ana de la Cueva has told that the solidarity concert was born because his institution wanted to have an “extraordinary” gesture and, therefore, the Stradivarius used. “They are our most extraordinary resource. And we thought that the collection should contribute to helping music, so essential in the lives of these peoples affected by the catastrophe, can sound again as soon as possible, “he said.

For its part, García-Belenguer has pointed out that the Real Theater is very proud to have hosted a concert that has shown the solidarity of the Spaniards. “We are with those who do so much for the culture and dissemination of music,” he said.

For his part, Daniela González has affirmed that the mission of her entity is to ensure that the musical societies affected by the catastrophe can resume their activity in the best possible conditions. “This is a key moment in which we must prevent many musicians and future musicians from seeing their path truncated. The act has also had the presence of representatives of the musical societies affected by the DANA, who have received the support for the recovery of their facilities and the reactivation of their musical activity.
