‘Tony Gragg’ in Rome, tactile visit for people with visual disabilities

Over the years the association has carried out many projects in agreement with the national galleries and, still today, the collaboration continues. Bam Eventi d’Arte wanted to propose these meetings by pursuing the interpretative line of the artist Tony Cragg, who has made perception in all his form his precise intent, just think of the exhibition “Tony Cragg: please touch us!” exhibited to Dusseldorf in 2024 and edited by the general manager Felix Kramer, where tactile perception was even imposed on visitors, an entirely forbidden use in museum practice.

The well -known artist has made the exploration of the matter and his intrinsic meaning one of the central themes of his artistic research and, in accordance with this desire, the visit will make it possible to the visitor, suffering from visual disabilities to caress with his hands and appreciate the surfaces of the Works on display, reading them as a Braille document. The Museum Association has organized the visit for their associates, which will take place on February 20 at 15.30 and on April 3 at 15.30, dividing into groups of six associates with disabilities, plus their accompanying people or guide dogs, plus four companions of Association for each group of participants with visual disabilities. Giulia Silvia Ghia, councilor for culture, educational and youth policies and sports in Rome will be present at the event.
