Several Finns nominated for the Nordic Literature Prize

There is at least one candidate from each Nordic country.

Nordic Candidates of the Council 2025 Literature Prize were announced on Thursday.

Nominated from Finland Anu Kaja by one’s work Bow and Milja Sarkola by one’s work My psychiatrist (in Finnish Psychiatrini).

All in all, 14 works are nominated for the prize, and there is at least one candidate for each Nordic country. There is also a Sámi language area, the only one of which is the Utsjoki from Utsjoki Niillas Holmberg by one’s work Goatnelle. Åland is a candidate Carita Karlsson with a collection of poems Marconirummet.

The recipient of the Nordic Council Literature Prize will be announced on 21 October.

 

 

Niills Holmberg is an artist and activist.

 

 

Milja Sarkola is especially known as theater director and playwright.
