The artist Rubén Guerrero, selected for the third program ‘Meadows/Arco Artist Spotlight’

The Arc Foundation and the Meadows Museum They have announced the selection of artist Rubén Guerrero for the third edition of the program ‘Meadows/ARCO Artist Spotlight’ (More), an initiative that drives The international projection of Spanish artists through exhibitions at the Dallas Meadows Museum.

His work will be exhibited in the spring of 2026 and will be part of the educational program of the Museum and the Southern Methodist University (SMU). In the first two editions Ignasi Aballí (2021) and Teresa Lanceta (2023) were chosen.

The announcement becomes official this afternoon in an act in the auditorium of the Reina Sofía Museum, with the presence of the selected artist, and the participation of Manuel Segade, director of said museum; Maribel López, Arco Director; Amanda W. Dotseth, director of the Meadows Museum; Stacey McCord, head of the Meadows Museum Advisory Council and member of the MAS selection committee; and Secondino Hernández, painter and member of the Meadows Advisory Council that visited the museum in 2020 with great success.

I feel deeply grateful for having been selected to be part of the MAS program: Meadows/Arco Artist Spotlight. It is an honor to add to the list of artists who have received this recognition and I hope that my participation contributes to the wealth and cultural diversity of the Spanish program and itself. For me it is a unique occasion to be able to present my work for the first time in the United States and have the opportunity to share my knowledge and intuitions with the artistic community, “said Rubén Guerrero.

The artist has been working for more than 15 years with the Luis Adelantado Gallery, in Valencia, and his work is part of relevant collections such as Related Group Collection (Miami), Sammlung Friedrichs (Bonn), Fundació Sorigué, Banco Sabadell Collection, Domus Artium Contemporary Art Center (DA2, Salamanca), DKV Collection and Foundation “The Caixa”, among others.
