The National Library of Spain It will have a special cultural program in the month of March, framed in the celebration of the International Women’s Day, on the 8th, with conferences, meetings, guided tours, concerts and a special tribute to tribute to María Moliner.
With all this, the BNE intends to make visible the figure of women in cultural creation and to strengthen their role as thinkers and drivers of education, reading, writing, music and love of art and culture.
Precisely, the first week of March, as an advance at 8M, the entity offers three acts with women as protagonists. Thus, Monday 3 and as a climax of the activities dedicated to the exhibition ‘Maria disturbing: a voice in the shadow’, The conference ‘El Enigma de María Disárraga’ will take place around the Rioja writer.
Then, on Wednesday 5 of Marz, within the framework of the festival they create, the National Library of Spain hosts the meeting ‘Contingent reality and superb cultures. Creators in the BNE ‘in which the film director Irati Gorostidi and the writer Sara Torres will talk with Concha Hernández, about their respective creation processes.
Finally, on Thursday, March 6, the round table will take place on the musical creation made by women ‘Let’s talk about compositors’with which it is intended to make visible the compositional work of Spanish authors of the twentieth century.
However, the program does not end there and the second week of March there will be a guided tour of the institution with a feminist itineario, a concert organized alongside musical youths in Spain and the Friends of the BNE Foundation or the presentation of the book ‘Love has been my only guilt. Tribute to Maria Moliner
On the occasion of 125th anniversary of the birth of María Molineron Tuesday, March 18, a tribute will take place to the Spanish librarian, Archivera, Philologist and Lexicographer, in an event in which he will present a commemorative currency prepared by the National Currency and Timbre Factory, which intends with this piece to celebrate the intellectual legacy of the author of the Dictionary of the use of Spanish.
After, Immaculate of the FuenteBiography of María Moliner, will offer a conference in which a semblance will be made on the life and work of this fundamental figure of Spanish culture.
