Artists and creators of the country, of different generations, disciplines and styles, have benefited from the creation system (formerly Fonca) that this March 2 is 36 years old to accompany them in the different stages of their projects, from the planning, research, production, circulation, visibility and the encounter with the audiences.
Since the Ministry of Culture created this tool in collaboration with the educational, artistic and cultural institutions of the country, it has granted more than 32 thousand economic stimuli to artists, groups and cultural projects. In addition, in recent years it has also contributed to the opening of spaces for independent and itinerant artistic expressions and provided support for the work of editors, researchers and cultural managers.
In 2024, 2,173 economic stimuli were granted and various activities with artists, such as workshops, concerts, staging, film projections, editorial presentations and more. All these, open to the general public and with free access.

With the aim of maintaining support for the artistic community and its impact on all populations and communities in the country, this program will continue to work for decentralization to promote greater participation of projects that benefit creation in colonies, neighborhoods, peoples, indigenous communities and other vulnerable or historically marginalized contexts.
Therefore, this year its different calls will be focused on promoting the creation and development of artistic skills; produce and exhibit theater, dance, exhibitions, and books; professionalize the agents involved; collaborate in the communities; Strengthen musical traditions and preserve original languages, as well as generate mobility and circulation of scenic artistic work.
36 years after its foundation, the creation system continues to recognize the ideas, proposals and initiatives of the artistic community and stimulates its contribution to the growth of the country’s cultural heritage.
