“Certain inappropriate behaviors”: TF 1 separates from Guillaume Porteu, editor -in -chief of his 20 hours

Climate weighing within the TF 1. teams. The channel announced this Tuesday separating from the editor-in-chief of his evening newspaper, withdrawn since mid-February, after an “internal procedure” concerning “certain inappropriate behavior” during an evening with colleagues, according to a press release confirming release information.

“The management of TF 1 has decided to put an end to his collaboration with Guillaume Porteu”, editor-in-chief on the channel since 2018, “from this day,” she said on Tuesday. He had been suspended for several weeks.

 

This journalist “was the subject of an internal procedure after certain inappropriate behaviors were noted during an evening as part of a starting pot organized with collaborators,” added TF 1. “TF 1 management reminds all of his collaborators the duty of exemplarity in their actions and in their words,” she concludes, without more comments.

“Fairly important” facts

The Informed media had revealed in February the retreat of Guillaume Porteu, during an internal investigation after “an incident that occurred during a festive evening bringing together several of his colleagues (…) outside the premises of TF 1”. “The potential facts are important enough” for the chain to have made this decision, “the time to conduct an investigation and to hear the alleged victims of the events,” added this media.

 

Since the sidelining of Guillaume Porteu, the assistant editor of 8 p.m., Anaïs Bouissou, assures the temporary worker at her post. Presented by Gilles Bouleau during the week and Anne-Claire Coudray on weekends, the 20h of TF 1 brought together 5.3 million viewers on average in February.
