Concert as a tribute to the jazz meeting in the Kulturhaus Karlshorst

New Orleans, Chicago, New York … and of course Hanover. How please, what? The state capital of Lower Saxony, especially known for the lack of dialect and other special features, is the “secret capital of jazz” – at least that is what the scene there claims.

We can find out on this Saturday, April 15th, at the Jazz meeting in the Kulturhaus Karlshorst in Treskowallee 112. Then “Blue Terrace” are on stage.

The singer and saxophonist Haide Manns and four instrumentalists have jointly committed to “All Kinders of Blues Music”. Above all, forgotten treasures are played.

The concert is under the heading “The Great Blues Women of the First Highlight of the Blues”. The band promises a flower read of musical rarities from almost forgotten artists such as Ma Rainey (photo above, 1923 with their band) or Victoria Spivey. Entry costs 16 euros, off you go at 8 p.m.
