Trump’s change of sides in Ukraine policy: What a look at history could teach

The change of sides, which Trump has made away from the allied Ukraine, towards the previous opponent of Russia, has never been possible. However, there have been unexpected, new constellations in the history of international relations. In the middle of the 18th century there was a fundamental turn in the European State system, one alliances reversalwhen the two management powers France and the Habsburg Empire, previously hostile for centuries, surprisingly closed an alliance. On this basis, together with Russia, they waged a war against Prussia and the British, who went into history as a seven -year war.
