Culture Activates Damage Evaluation and Reconstruction Teams of the Roman Bridge of Talavera
The Ministry of Culture has activated the damage evaluation equipment and the mechanisms to begin the reconstruction of the Roman Bridge of Talavera de la Reina, because of the overflow of the Tagus River this Saturday.

This was announced this Sunday by the Minister of Culture, Ernest Urtasun, in a publication in the Bluesky social network. “The storm has taken part of the Roman bridge of Talavera de la Reina. From the Ministry of Culture we have already activated the damage evaluation equipment and the mechanisms to begin the reconstruction of an incalculable value assets,” he said.

Hours before, the president of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, also showed his solidarity to the citizens of Talavera de la Reina and offered the help of the Executive for his reconstruction.

“My solidarity with all the citizens of Talavera de la Reina after the rupture of an entire symbol of the city,” said the president in his X account this Sunday.

In addition, Sanchez has offered the help of his executive to rebuild the collapsed part of the Roman Bridge, the oldest in the city.
