An angel has passed. A drawing sometimes says more than words. On the markets of the crematorium where the Ceremony of Father Lachaise was held, the sweet face of actress Émilie Dequenne is represented decorated with two angel wings in a drawing tribute to the heroine of “Rosetta”, signed Jean-Charles de Castelbajac.
Ten days after her disappearance, family, friends and relatives of Émilie Dequenne met for a last tribute to the cemetery of Father Lachaise (Paris XIE). Several hundred people gathered for a farewell that the actress, carried away by the illness at 43, wanted without flowers but which should make it possible to support research against cancer.
Alongside other personalities from the cinema, including Sami Bouajila, Alice Belaïdi, Natacha Régnier, Albert Dupontel, Hafsia Herzi or Andréa Ferréol, directors Jean-Pierre and Luc Dardenne came to say goodbye to their “Rosetta”. They sat in the front row with the family.
