Natalia Lafourcade launches her new album, ‘Canchionera’, a sound journey that honors its roots

The Mexican singer Natalia Lafourcade  announced on Wednesday his new studio album, ‘Songwriter’, And the tour with which he will come to Spain on August 4 at Cap Roig Festival (Calella de Palafrugell, Girona), his only stop at a show that starts on April 23.

In its new production, Lafourcade embarks on a sound journey where tradition and contemporary are intertwined in a dialogue that honors its roots while exploring new dimensions of its art. This album marks a new phase in his career, one that returns to the intimacy of his voice and guitar, but with an opening to a sound universe that amplifies his message.

The project, according to the Sony record, arises from a creative need to explore the duality of its artistic being and find in music a space for transformation. ‘Songbook’ is not just an albumbut a manifesto that invites us to rediscover the wonder of existence, a principle that gives life to his twelfth album, adds the musical company.

With this album, the artist reveals her artistic alter ego, ‘La Canjionera’, a figure that embodies the essence of music as a bridge between the intimate and the universal. The concert tour will begin on April 23 in Mexico and will continue in the United States and Canada. During the tour, the singer and composer will present a new show with intimate arrangements, reinterpreting her classic successes while presenting new songs.
