After the success of the public and criticism found in Milan, from Friday 28 March the exhibition ‘Amanano Corpus Animae’, dedicated to Yoshitaka Amano, arrives in Rome in the exhibition space of the Museum of Rome at Palazzo Braschi. The exhibition, conceived and developed by Lucca Comics & Games and curated by Fabio Viola, is promoted by Roma Capitale, councilor for culture, Capitoline Superintendency for Cultural Heritage with the organizational support of Zètema Project Culture, and celebrates the 50 years of career of the Maestro by collecting more than 200 in a single exhibition path between original works, Cel of entertainment and cult objects. A journey into the history of world animation and entertainment experienced through the numerous stages that have characterized Shizuoka’s artist’s career. A path made unique also thanks to the setting in which the exhibition is hosted: the Museum of Rome at Palazzo Braschi, which definitively establishes the relationship between the Japanese artist and the city of Rome he always loved since the 70s. ‘Love Corpus Animae’ is the first exhibition that the artist realizes in Rome, a city that for his art has been the result of inspiration and from which he has received multiple suggestions: above all the Roman Greek mythologies.
To make the appointment of Palazzo Braschi even more unique will be the original works, never exhibited in Italy, which tell the collaboration of Yoshitaka love with the famous Michael Mootcock, undoubtedly one of the most important exponents of fantastic literature, author of the Elric opera of Melnibonè. Visitors will be able to enjoy the meeting of the two masters and their imaginations, the narrative and visual one, in six tables from which the genesis that has guided Sensei in the creation of Final Fantasy’s works. Characterized by a multifaceted production, ranging from the video game to the manga, from the anime to the theater, from fashion to the end art through the world of publishing and comics, the art of the master will be returned through the five sections of the exhibition.
