Algerian author and dissident Boualem Sansal condemned: Legal grotesque

The end of the procedure against the writer Boualem Sansal remains true to the spirit of the whole thing: it is a demonstration of political arbitrariness. No public was approved, and the charges varied like the weather in April. The process took place without the French lawyer of the accused, François Zimeray, was allowed to enter. Representatives of the regime went to Sansal in his jail hospital and recommended that he choose a non-Jewish representative, a visa will be issued. However, they were on the wrong ones: in his poor youth in Algier, in the Belcourt district, now called Belouizdad, Sansal lived right next to the synagogue. The rabbi there promoted him, gave tutoring and let him do it in his rooms. Again and again it regretted that the Algerian Jews had to leave the country. Throughout his life, also in his big speech for the 2011 Peace Prize, Sansal spoke in favor of peace between Palestinians and Israelis. In any case, Sansal defended himself from then on.
