The city of Santiago de Cuba, located in the east of the island country, is ready to receive the 44th edition of the Caribbean Festival: Fire Fiesta, which will take place from July 3 to 9; So far, the most numerous delegation is the Mexican, with more than 200 representatives, the organizers in conference in Mexico City reported yesterday.

The guest country of honor this year will be Curacao, and the participation of delegations of more than 20 nations is expected, of which those of the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Brazil and Colombia, as well as Germany and a contingent of Valencia, Spain, have confirmed their assistance.

According to the researcher Abelardo Larduet Luaces, of the Casa del Caribe, the Festival has managed to consolidate in a space for meeting, knowledge and recognition not only for the countries of the region, but for all those of the American continent and, in general, those interested in this part of the planet.
