Actors and Theaters Agree on the terms and conditions – strikes are canceled

The Actor Association had warned the strikes in theaters across the country.

Actress association and Finnish theaters have approved the outcome of the negotiations in the morning on the conditions of the theater sector, tells National mediator office.

The agreement means that previously reported strikes in theaters are canceled.

The agreement is in line with the general line, both in terms of salary increases and the contract period, says the Association of Actors in his announcement.

“The parties had a strong common will to achieve the result so that the audience can take the performances on Saturday,” the chairman of the Association of Actors Antti Timonen said in the bulletin.

The Association of Actors had warned the strikes in theaters across the country on 5th and 12 April. The first strike day would have been Helsinki City Theater, Rauma Theater, Oulu Theater and Svenska Teatern.
