The actor Antonello Fassari died at 72 years of age. Romano, graduated from the Academy of Dramatic Art, Fassari had become known to the general public for his participation in the ‘Avdanzi’ program, and in particular for the comedian role of the ‘Comrade Antonio’, a vetero-Marxist who suddenly woke up by a very long coma that lasted twenty years (famous the cry of pain “I Pooh ….”).
But the peak of fame arrives with the ‘I Cesaroni’ series, set in the famous Garbatella bar and broadcast from 2008 to 2014, where Fassari plays the Oste Cesare, next to protagonists such as Claudio Amendola and Max Tortora.
Failure marked, by “hard”, red hair, Fassari has always alternated comedy and drama, as a great character actor, so much so that he will also carve out an important role in the cinema, where it is remembered above all between the 90s and 2000 in often negative roles such as in the ‘rubber wall’ by Marco Risi (1991), where he is a cynical and disenchanted journalist, in ‘Pasolini an Italian crime’ (1995) by Marco Tullio by Marco Tullio. Giordana where he plays the reactionary lawyer who pushes to attribute all the faults of the murder to the hairy alone, or in ‘criminal novel’ by Michele Placido (2005), where he embodies one of the members of the band. He returns to a dramatic role in ‘Suburra’ of Sollima (2015), where he plays the father of the protagonist Elio Germano who suicide crushed by the debts. The last film on the big screen is ‘Flaminia’, directed and played by Michela Giraud, while the last television appearance was last year in the ‘The Volta good’ program.
