They were almost a million trying, they will only be lucky. Rapper Jul, who had announced a new concert date a few days ago at Stade Vélodrome in Marseille (Bouches-du-Rhône) on Friday, May 23, 2025, announced that all tickets had been sold in just a few hours.
In April 2024, the Marseille artist had already panicked the counters, by filling the Stade de France in record time (Seine-Saint-Denis), for a concert scheduled for April 25, 2025, and the Vélodrome stadium, for a home show on May 24, 2025.
A new album at the end of April
Only, at the end of last week, Jul announced to his fans the release of a new album, “D&P for life”, D&P referring to his clothing brand “gold and platinum”, which is now one of the official sponsors of Olympique de Marseille. The disc will be on sale on April 25, the day of its concert at the Stade de France.
It is as part of the promotion of this album release that Jul announced a new date in concert, on May 23, 2025 at the Vélodrome stadium, the day before the date already “sold out” for a year.
On his X account, the Marseille artist said that more than a million people tried to get a ticket for this new concert. On social networks, many Jul fans have shared screenshots of the queue on the ticket office, where hundreds of thousands of people wisely awaited their turn in the hope of offering a place.
