From Saturday, the public will be able to go to the top of the Tours again, completely restored after the fire having ravaged the cathedral on April 15, 2019. 400,000 visitors per year maximum
The visitor then accesses the terraces which culminate at 69 meters, then discovers the two main bells of the cathedral, including Emmanuel, of a weight greater than 13 tonnes, which ring only for major events. The route then goes through the courtyard courtyard, which separates the two towers and allows you to take a look at the “forest”, the frame rebuilt after being devastated by the flames. The descent is made by the North Tower.
A gauge limits 400,000 the number of visitors authorized each year to access the route, while around 30,000 people enter the Gothic building every day. The cathedral visit is free but that of the towers costs 16 euros.
