Will the alumni of “Star Academy” grab everything in their path? Already the most awarded international artist, will Ed Sheeran collect a 12th victory? Will Gims (finally) win a trophy, which would then be his first solo? This Friday, at 9:10 p.m. on TF 1 and NRJ, the 27th edition of the NRJ Music Awards is being held, from the Palais des Festivals in Cannes (Alpes-Maritimes). With five favorites, who each hold three nominations: Alex Warren, David Guetta, DJ Snake, Gims and Guy2Bezbar.
For the occasion, the room welcomes a large audience of artists. Those from the “Star Academy” could have taken their famous bus since Mosimann, Pierre Garnier, Julien Lieb, Helena, Lénie will perform on stage for her duet with Jungeli, Marguerite, Marine and even Ambre, current resident of the Château de Dammarie-les-Lys (Seine-et-Marne), who obtained the privilege of joining Cannes for a duet with Kendji Girac.
This 2025 edition also marks the return of Vanessa Paradis, who had not made the trip since 2008. Regulars of the place, Amir, Gims and DJ Snake will be able to visit the Quebec revelation Charlotte Cardin as well as the newcomers Linh, Luiza, Léman and Miki. Without forgetting duets between Jeck and Carla for “M’élan”, Superbus and Rori on a new version of “Butterfly” or even the rappers Keblack and Guy2Bezbar and their hit “Melrose Place”.
As for international artists, Ed Sheeran is expected again at the Palais des Festivals, before going to “Star Academy”, of which he is the godfather, this Saturday on TF 1. He will also meet the K-pop group Katseye there. Finally, after having scored a few hits this year, the British-Jamaican Myles Smith will be there, as will the Italian star Eros Ramazzotti, who is making his return.
For those returning, the list is also very eclectic since we find there as well the judoka Teddy Riner and his partner Luthna Plocus as the actress Amanda Lear or the rapper Théodora. Also expected are YouTubers LeBouseuh and Maghla, NRJ host Louis Daubé, actresses Alice Dufour and Stéfi Celma, comedians Ahmed Sylla and GuiHome, as well as singers Pierre Garnier, Hatik, Charlotte Cardin, Mosimann, JoeyStarr and Fally Ipupa.
