Manchesterilaisen bass player of the rock band The Stone Roses Gary ”Mani Mounfield has died at the age of 63.

Mounfield’s brother confirmed the matter on Facebook.
Among other things, the band Oasis Liam Gallagher told in X of being shocked and saddened by Mounfield’s death.
The Stone Roses formed in 1983, and Mounfield became the band’s bassist four years later. The band, which was at the peak of its popularity in the early 1990s, released two albums: The Stone Roses (1989) and Second Coming (1994).
The Stone Roses broke up in 1996. It reunited for five years in 2012.
In 1996, Mounfield joined the Scottish band Primal Scream, in whose ranks he played for 15 years.
