She had promised to confide after her top 30. Ève Gilles, Miss France 2024, published a long message this Saturday, November 22 on Instagram to look back on her adventure in the Miss Universe 2025 competition, which ended this Friday with the coronation of Miss Mexico, Fatima Bosch. The former Miss Nord-Pas-de-Calais was ultimately one of the 30 finalists in the competition, but was not selected to enter the top 12, unlike Ophély Mézino, Miss Guadeloupe.
“It’s the end of this Miss Universe adventure, I’m very proud to have represented France! » she writes in the preamble to her text. The 22-year-old young woman particularly insisted on the support she received, whether from her friends, her family, but also from her subscribers who regularly sent her messages of encouragement during this long adventure which lasted almost three weeks.
“New projects in my head”
“I gave the best of myself, I couldn’t have done more, so I have no regrets,” she says, “very proud”, she who equaled the result obtained the previous year by Indira Ampiot. Throughout her journey during the 74th edition of the international beauty contest, she shared every day the outfits specially created for the occasion by more than a dozen designers. The native of Dunkirk (North) wanted to thank them in her message. Among them: Aymerick Zana, Romain Thévenin, James Paris, Victor Weinsanto, Hugo Desloges, Julien Paoletti and even the Pierre Cardin house. She will also reveal one of the dresses that she should have worn during the Miss France 2026 ceremony on December in Amiens (Somme).
The one who crowned Angélique Angarni-Filopon last year also announces that she has “new projects in her head”, including the creation of a foundation “very soon”. The aim of this charitable commitment is to link the “three commitments” of the Miss, suffering from paroxysmal dyskinesia: “The fight against harassment and cyber harassment, helping research into rare diseases but also promoting and helping women to embark on science studies”.
Before being elected Miss France 2024, Ève Gilles was completing a degree in mathematics and computer science applied to the human and social sciences at the University of Lille, after having attempted a first year of medicine. Moreover, it could well be that she will soon return to university: “I must also contact my university for my next return to studies,” concludes the model.
