In Rome, the States General of Tourism and the cinematographic companies meet

Today at the Auditorium Parco della Musica “Ennio Morricone” the panel “Audiovisual and entertainment as tourism drivers” took place during the States General of Tourism of Rome Capital, with the participation of Paolo Del Brocco (Rai Cinema), Chiara Sbarigia (Audiovisual Producers Association), Arturo De Simone (Warner Bros), Federica Diomei (Eagle Pictures), Luisa Cotta Ramosino (Netflix) and Daniel Frigo (Disney Italia), moderated by Francesca Oliva (Rai News 24).

The centrality of Rome in the international audiovisual panorama clearly emerged from the comparison: the city combines a unique cultural heritage, creativity and production opportunities, making it a magnetic hub for productions, talents and investments.

These are some key points:

  • Collaboration with institutions to facilitate productions and enhance both the iconic places of Rome and the lesser-known but still scenic ones.
  • Telling Rome to the world through films, series and international events, promoting a modern and culturally vibrant image.
  • Symbolic and high-impact projects, such as the idea of a “Rome in a Day” spread on global platforms, to show the life of the city in 24 hours, experiencing one neighborhood at a time and its people. A long tradition of international attraction, confirmed by the involvement of major productions such as Disney and other global experiences.

Councilor Alessandro Onorato concluded by highlighting the city’s commitment: “We want cinema and TV series to be a vehicle to promote Rome. In these four years we have focused a lot on this, and I thank all the platforms for the great work done in these 4 years.”

The message that emerged is clear: Rome is not just a film set, but a global cultural center, capable of attracting production, innovation and imagination. Strengthening this centrality means investing in collaboration, quality of content and international narration, for a Rome that in 2050 renews its myth and relaunches it to the world
