Cayetana Guillén Cuervo and Daniel Guzmán will present the 31st Forqué Awards gala

The actress and president of the Academy of Performing Arts of Spain, Cayetana Guillén Cuervo and the actor Daniel Guzman They will host the 31st Forqué Awards gala to be held on December 13 at Ifema Madrid.

The presenters will make their debut at the head of the Forqué in an edition in which the award for best feature film will be debated between ‘Los Domingos’, ‘Maspalomas’, ‘Sîrat’ and ‘Sorda’, while the one with the best series will do so between ‘Anatomy of an instant’, ‘Animal’, ‘Poquita Fe’ y ‘Puberty’.

The duo, made up of two personalities closely linked to the small and big screen, debuts at the head of the awards and will succeed the presentation of Elena S. Sánchez, in charge of hosting the Forqué 30th anniversary gala, in which ‘El 47’ was the winner for best fiction feature film and ‘Querer’ for best fiction series.

The presentation of both artists will be accompanied by the presence of prominent figures from our cinema and our series who will be part of the great night of the audiovisual industry along with the musical performers, soon to be announced, who will liven up the celebration.

Cayetana Guillén Cuervo has a solid career in film, theater and television in Spain. Coming from a saga of performers – daughter of actors Fernando Guillén and Gemma Cuervo – and aware of her legacy, she became from the beginning of her career one of the most prominent and versatile figures in the industry, both from an artistic and informative level.

In his acting role, there are numerous television roles, among which ‘El Ministerio del Tiempo’ stands out, and he has worked with leading directors such as José Luis Garci, Ventura Pons, Moncho Armendáriz, Alfonso Albacete, Cesc Gai, Miguel Bardem and Pedro Almodóvar. Added to this is a theatrical tour of both classics and contemporary works, highlighting in recent years titles such as ‘Puertas Abiertas’, ‘El Malentendido’, ‘Hedda Gabler’ and ‘Pandataria’, with which he has toured national and international stages.

Among her most important recognitions are the Best Actress Award, from the Círculo de Escritores Cinematográficos; Best Actress Award from the Mostra de Valencia, Culture Award from the Community of Madrid 2022, Pluma Award, Shanghai Award, Chicote Award, MADO Award for her fight for the rights of the LGTBIQ collective and the Hola Award from the Hispanic Organization of Latin Actors for her work in cultural management at the head of the Academy of Performing Arts. In September 2025 she received the UIMP Award for Cinematography, for her career as an actress and for her cultural management at the head of the Academy, awarded by the Menéndez Pelayo University of Santander.

Daniel Guzman He is one of the best-known figures in Spanish audiovisuals thanks to his career as an actor, which began at the age of 14, with numerous works in film, theater and television, and his career as a director, screenwriter and producer, which began in 2003 with the short film ‘Sueños’.

With this first work, Guzmán achieved recognition from critics, the public and numerous national and international awards, among which the Goya Award for Best Fiction Short Film, the Golden Spike at the Valladolid International Festival and the Audience Award at the Málaga Festival stand out.

His success behind the camera would continue with the writing, production and direction of ‘A Cambio de Nada’, which won two Goya Awards (Best New Director and Best New Actor), the Biznaga de Oro for Best Film, the Biznaga de Plata for Best Director, and the Special Critics Award at the Malaga Spanish Film Festival where he also obtained public recognition.

‘Canallas’ was his second film as a screenwriter, director and producer. He recently released his third film, ”The Debt’, an emotional thriller with a marked social character that reflects on the relationship with our elders, gentrification, guilt and the need for affection.
