“I’m sorry”: Shy’m withdraws from the musical “Chicago” at the Casino de Paris on medical advice

Sad news for his fans. The singer Shy’m announced this Friday evening that she was withdrawing “temporarily” from the musical “Chicago”, in which she has been playing since November 7 at the Casino de Paris (9th).

“Dear friends, I am sad to announce that in accordance with the production of the show, I am forced to make the decision to stop temporarily, on the advice of the medical team. I’m sorry,” wrote the star of the 2000s in a post on the musical’s Instagram account, ensuring that she was “doing everything possible” to quickly return to the stage.

“My understudy, Lisa Lanteri, who will play Valma during this period, is a wonderful and talented artist,” added Shy’m, meeting her fans “as soon as possible and in great shape”.

In the legendary Broadway musical, a mix of stories of murder, corruption and the quest for fame, the singer of “Woman of Color” plays the sulphurous and elusive Velma Kelly, a role played by Catherine Zeta-Jones in the film by Rob Marshall (2002).
