Steven Spielberg’s next film is revealed in a trailer that will make you pale ET

Symbols appear on a field. A woman screams hoarsely on live television. Even ET, who knows the subject like the back of his hand, would feel overwhelmed. The trailer for Steven Spielberg’s thirty-fifth film once again highlights the enigmas and dizziness of extraterrestrial life.

The images open with this question: “If you found out we’re not alone, would that scare you?” » . “I will reveal everything, to the whole world, once and for all”, we hear further. In between, nuns watch television, a man passes an ultra-modern scanner and a young girl, escorted by a deer, approaches an illuminated house.

A slightly esoteric mystery Indiana Jonesencounters of the third kind, the presence of childhood as in many of Spielberg’s works… We think we can guess these inspirations in the trailer for Disclosure Day (“the day of the revelation”), which is due to be released in June 2026. The 93-year-old composer, among the most prolific and renowned in Hollywood, announced that he was coming out of retirement to write the music for his friend Steven Spielberg’s new feature film. The nonagenarian has already set music to twenty-nine of his films, including Encounters of the Third Kind et E.T.which earned him one of the five Oscars of his career.
