Banksy stencil appears in central London

London. British graffiti artist Banksy unveiled his new stencil yesterday on Instagram, apparently dedicated to the problem of homeless children.

Images on the social network show a mural in London in which two children are seen lying on the ground, dressed in rubber boots, a coat and a winter hat with a pompom. One of them points to the sky.

Experts on Banksy’s works tell the British media that the piece is probably dedicated to the problem of homeless children.

The new stencil is on the wall of a building on Queen’s Mews Street, in central London, at the level of the second floor. It can be accessed by climbing to the roof of the adjacent building. Social media users are already sharing photos in which they pose next to the work.

An identical drawing also appeared on the Center Point skyscraper, on New Oxford Street, in the heart of London, which had been empty for about 10 years, and had been the scene of demonstrations dedicated to the problem of homelessness.

The last time a new Banksy painting appeared was last September, on the outside wall of the Royal Courts of Justice in London.

Shortly after its appearance, the mural was covered up and then erased. However, a gray spot remained, the outline of which allows us to guess the theme. London police launched a criminal investigation into damage to the building, which is registered on the historic heritage register.

Banksy, whose identity remains a source of constant speculation, is known for calling out social problems in his paintings.
