Starring in the comedy “Laurent dans le vent”, which comes out next Wednesday in cinemas, actress Béatrice Dalle gave her support to director Jacques Doillon.
“I have a friend called Jacques Doillon. He’s been my friend for 40 years, and the abominations that people say about him, I don’t believe them for a single second,” she told AFP in an interview published this Friday.
“Everyone rapes everyone”
The filmmaker is accused of rape by Judith Godrèche. In February 2024, the actress filed a complaint for “rape of a minor under fifteen years old by a person in authority” against Jacques Doillon. She accuses the latter of having raped her on the sidelines and during the filming of “The 15-year-old Girl”.
He had contested the accusations against him and had filed a defamation complaint against Judith Godrèche, for an Instagram post from February 21 in which she accused him of “sleeping” with “children”. The actress had also, last September, announced that she had received a preliminary notice of indictment for defamation, a procedurally automatic measure.
She then protested on social networks. “On the one hand, my complaint against him comes up against the statute of limitations. On the other hand, for his complaint against me, justice does not waste time.” Before continuing: “In your opinion, this will encourage victims to denounce the violence they have suffered, or will it dissuade them? »
By filing a complaint, Judith Godrèche had become the leading figure of the #MeToo movement in France. Asked about her way of shooting an intimate scene in the era of #MeToo in cinema, Béatrice Dalle says that she hears “so much everyone complaining about everyone at the moment”.
“Everyone raped everyone. I’ve been making cinema for 40 years. I have never had a director, an actor, a technician, a journalist, someone who lacked respect for me,” she adds. “I’m not a dog, I don’t yell with the pack. »
