The funeral of Brigitte Bardot will take place on Wednesday January 7 at the Notre-Dame de l’Assomption church in Saint-Tropez, a ceremony which will be followed by a “private and confidential burial”the Brigitte Bardot Foundation told AFP on Monday. If the town hall informed several media, including AFP, that the burial would take place in the marine cemetery, the Foundation did not wish at this stage “communicate about the place of burial according to BB’s last wishes”.

The ceremony at the Notre-Dame de l’Assomption church, organized at 11 a.m. by invitation, will be broadcast on screens on the port and on the central Place des Lices in the Var city. The private burial will be followed by“an open tribute to all Tropéziens and his admirers at the fishermen’s meadow”, detailed the Foundation, dedicated to the protection of animals, the great cause of his life for which the global star left the cinema just before his 40th birthday.
