Angelina Jolie arrived at the Egyptian side of the Rafah crossing

Hollywood star Angelina Jolie arrived this morning (Friday) on the Egyptian side of the Rafah crossing as part of a “humanitarian visit”. The American actress participated in the visit, to examine the condition of wounded Gazans, and to evaluate the efforts to provide aid to the Strip.

Jolie was accompanied by a representative of the US State Department and Egyptian officials, including the Minister of Immigration and the Governor of North Sinai. The actress is known for her humanitarian efforts, and in the past has shown extensive commitment to humanitarian issues around the world.

Last April, Jolie again took a side in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and condemned the actions of the IDF and the State of Israel in Gaza. The actress published a story, in front of her 16 million followers on Instagram, in which she shared a harsh post against Israel: “Gaza has become a ‘mass grave’ for Palestinians and those who help them.”

The post in question that Julie shared also reads: “While the Israeli forces are renewing and expanding their military attack in the air, on land and at sea on the Gaza Strip, forcibly displacing people from their places and deliberately blocking vital aid, the lives of Palestinians are once again being systematically destroyed.”

At the end of October 2023, Jolie published a poignant post in which she did indeed condemn the actions of Hamas on October 7, but it seems that three weeks after that, the terrible suffering of children in Israel has somewhat faded in the wave of pro-Palestinian propaganda. Jolie decided at the time to dedicate her words to the terrible suffering of the Palestinian citizens.

“Like millions of people around the world, I spent the last few weeks shocked and angry about the terrorist attack in Israel,” Jolie began her words in a post on her Instagram page. “What happened in Israel is an act of terrorism,” she added and then made a reservation: “But this cannot justify the innocent lives lost in the bombing of a civilian population in Gaza, who have nowhere to go, no access to food and water, no possibility of evacuation, and not even the basic human right to cross a border to seek refuge.”
