10 years after the death of David Bowie, icon of music and art, the exhibition ‘David Bowie – Hello Starman!’ pays homage to his visionary talent in a group show that reinterprets his glamor and metamorphoses. Edited by Stefano Bianchi, ‘Hello Starman!’ – scheduled in Parma with inauguration on January 10th, the anniversary of his death, and until April 6th – is a cosmic salute to the artist who crossed genres, languages and identities, transforming pop culture into a territory of freedom and experimentation. From Ziggy Stardust to Blackstar, a selection of works dialogues with the multiple incarnations of David Bowie: the alien, the androgynous, the dandy, the prophet.
The exhibition – set up at the new headquarters of Ponti x l’Arte, in Borgo Guazzo 20/A – aims to be a choral celebration, in which each work is a fragment of memory and at the same time an act of rewriting. Bowie thus becomes the symbol of transformation and creative freedom, but also the mirror of a sensitivity that still feeds on his light today.
