Résumé. On December 7, Brigitte Macron came to attend the new show by comedian Ary Abittan at the Folies Bergère. The previous day’s performance had been disrupted by feminist activists whom the wife of the President of the Republic described as “dirty cunts” in a controversial video taken without her knowledge. Despite herself, the first lady highlighted a hitherto confidential mobilization against the actor.

Accused of rape in November 2021 by a young woman and overwhelmed by several material elements, Ary Abittan was indicted for rape and placed under judicial supervision. After more than three years of investigation, the courts declared a dismissal of the case. The actor, who wrongly claims to be “exonerated”, has since returned to the stage he left, triggering a feminist protest.
