Kai Trump: “It’s embarrassing that you’re on a date with a guy and they’re sitting behind you”

Kai Trump, the granddaughter of the President of the United States Donald Trump, is already 18 years old, and she opened up about what it means to be a young woman who goes out on dates and spends time with friends while security personnel are trailing behind her at any given moment. In an honest and revealing conversation, she opened up about what it means to be the granddaughter of the most famous and controversial man in the world.

On Logan Paul’s Impaulsive podcast, Kai talked about how this is the second time she’s had to be surrounded by federal agency security, after her grandfather was re-elected. “It’s hard. I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t hard,” Trump said on the podcast. “It was a big adjustment, them coming back, and then having to adjust my schedule and just try to get on with the day. It’s weird when you’re just hanging out with your girlfriends, a group of girls, and you have a tall man standing about ten feet behind you. It’s strange.”

When asked about dating, she admitted that the heavy security completely ruins the mod. “To be honest, it’s really awkward when you go on a date with a guy and they sit two tables behind you. It’s a little weird,” she said. “But I try not to let it bother me, and I think I’ve learned, especially in the last year. Yes, they follow me, but their job is to protect me, so I try to concentrate on my things and pretend they’re not there.”

During the conversation, Trump was also asked about politics, but refused to express a substantive position. “To be honest, I stay completely out of politics,” she admitted. “I don’t want anything to do with politics, because I feel that politics is such a dangerous thing, and I think that if the two sides met in the middle – everyone would be much happier.

“There are a lot of people who are too extreme, and that’s where social media really comes into play, because there aren’t many things on social media that are really in the middle, and I think that makes some people go crazy and get carried away with it too much,” she added.
