Chanel will perform at the final of the Benidorm Fest 2026 hosted by Jesús Vázquez, Javier Ambrossi, Inés Hernand and Lalachus

The singer Chanel will perform at the final gala of the fifth edition of the Benidorm Fest, which will feature Jesús Vázquez, Javier Ambrossi, Inés Hernand and Lalachus as presenters.

The 2026 edition of the Alicante contest will be held on February 10, 12 and 14 at the Palau d’Esports l’Illa in Benidorm and the director of the Benidorm Fest, César Vallejo, has announced that the rehearsals with the 18 artists have already finished.

“The work on the performances is very advanced. Now we are with the part of the show, of the artists invited to the galas. In addition, the scriptwriter, Pilar de Francisco, is already working with the presenters,” Vallejo said in a statement.

The contest was the prelude to Spain’s participation in the Eurovision Song Contest, something that will not happen this year after RTVE decided to withdraw due to Israel’s permanence in the European music contest.

Another of the changes to the edition is that the winning candidate, in addition to taking home the renewed Little Mermaid trophy, will obtain a cash prize of 150,000 gross euros. Of this amount, 100,000 euros will be for the performers and 50,000 euros for the authors of the song. The profits from the editorial rights of the winning song will once again be entirely for the authorship.

Presenter Jesús Vázquez joins RTVE this edition while Ambrossi, after presenting the 2024 Goya Awards gala, will debut as presenter of the Benidorm Fest.

Hernand is already a veteran of the festival, having participated in all editions, and Lalachus and Ángela Fernández will be presenters of the special programming prior to the semi-finals on RTVE Play and the final on La 1 offered by RTVE, ‘Benidorm Calling’.

The Benidorm Fest 2026 lineup is made up of ASHA, Atyat, Dani J, Dora & Marlon Collins, Funambulista, Greg Taro, Izan Llunas, Kenneth, KITAI, KU Minerva, Luna Ki, María León ft. Julia Medina, MAYO, Mikel Herzog Jr., Miranda! & bailamamá, Rosalinda Galán, The Quinquis, and Tony Grox and LUCYCALYS.
