Oriol Pla Solina stars in ‘Gula / Gola’ at the National Dramatic Center, a satirical critique of consumerism

The actors Pau Matas Nogué and Oriol Pla Solina they star in the play ‘Sugar/Gola’ a satirical criticism of consumerism that premieres at the National Dramatic Center this January 9 and until February 15.

The production, produced by Estación Alta and Teatre Nacional de Catalunya, proposes a “experience where humor and social criticism are constructed through a hybridization of languages, where the circus and the clown are intertwined with the text or music”, as explained by the CDN.

This production, written and directed by Matas Nogué and Pla Solina, is a hybrid and multidisciplinary show with a minimalist staging and a dramaturgy in which the monologue gives way to the visual.

Thus, on stage there will be a vending machine that becomes the central axis from which the harlequin, Oriol Pla Solina, explores the different languages: voice, slapstick, clown, jester, performance and progression.
