It is the last issue of Mag of 2025, we are closing the year in a festive atmosphere that serves to exorcise the evils of the present. The spirit of Christmas, of celebrations, is approaching and, as Pope Leo XIV says, we must seize “the sparks of hope”. AGI turned 75, we chose to celebrate in December, in a time of joy and reflection.

Mag was born three years ago to tell the beauty of Italy, it is the result of teamwork, which feeds on the culture of the nation, its ability to do, create, amaze. For a news agency, this magazine is like an agenda, a different experiment that germinates in everyday life, in the speed of news that goes online. It is “slow” thinking, it is a positive vision that serves to remember how in the eternal struggle between good and evil, good always wins in the end. In an era of polarization, extreme speed, algorithms and social media, our mission remains the original one: to offer verified, timely, essential news.

Today more than ever, AGI is a laboratory in motion, with journalists, correspondents, collaborators and open eyes on the world. Since its foundation in 1950, AGI has focused on international information, also to support the growing number of Italian companies interested in foreign markets and the “economic miracle”.

Mag lays out Italian excellence, the values ​​that are appreciated throughout the world of which Eni, publisher of AGI since 1965, is a historic pillar. Our headquarters itself, the symbol of the gasometer, is an example of first-rate creativity and industrial design; from here, from this place, the first sparks of Italian energy and enterprise are born. Our 75 years are our space, in time, in form, in words, in the profession of journalism.

Directing Agi and inventing Mag is an honor that far exceeds the burden. This issue of Mag is dedicated to dance, “one of the most perfect forms of communication with infinite intelligence” (to quote Paulo Coelho). So we too will indulge in the dance of our first 75 years.
