Three years after canceling at the last minute, Panayotis Pascot tries to reinvest the Opéra Garnier

“Three years ago, I was supposed to finish my first show in this hall, the most beautiful in my eyes, but I fell ill…”writes Panayotis Pascot in the first lines of his latest publication on social networks. On June 5, the comedian from Amiens will take the stage of the Opéra Garnier. “A dream”he said in this succinct message. The French stand-up sensation will present his show Between the twoplayed in recent months at Bobino and the Odéon, and soon at the Olympia. A second single on stage bordering the very serious themes of suicide, depression and even parenthood.

“Having the chance to play there will come full circle”declared the 27-year-old artist on social networks. To make up for its missed meeting in 2023, Panayotis Pascot will take over the Palais Garnier for a first performance scheduled at 6 p.m. and a second at 9:30 p.m. Its producers indicate to Figaro that the two dates were filled in two hours and that two new ones were added on November 6 and 7 at the Dôme de Paris. These will then be the last two performances of the show in the Paris region before the launch of a tour in the rest of France. “That’s already pretty good, what more can I do?” »he joked Wednesday evening on the set of the show Quotidien.

The comedian notably explained the real reasons for the cancellation of his show, in the same room, three years ago. “I got sick and had to cancel the last dates of my very first showhe regrets. It was the flu, or a big depression, after a really crappy year. A big, very particular slump which, at the same time, reconnected me with lots of people, colleagues. That’s why, among other things, I wanted to play this new show, because it talks about this period of my life. »

A show with heavy themes
