Daniel Pérez Prada stars in ‘Father there is only one, the series’ with a character “totally different” from Segura

The fiction, created by Ines de Leonno already has the cast of the blockbuster film saga starring and produced by Santiago Segurabut rather presents the Vicho Vaello family, headed by Mateo (Daniel Perez Prada), a father full of ideas about conscious education and Helena (Mariam Hernandez), the mother whose return to work life is not going exactly as expected.

The first season of ‘Father there is only one, the series’ It is made up of 12 episodes between 20 and 25 minutes long, a short format that is not common in the industry today. “Mariam and I have made 70-minute comedies because that was what was popular before, they were ‘prime time’ series, it was what they lasted and I think that the ideal format, I don’t think of it, but rather the great showrunners and comedy writers think of it, The ideal comedy format is 20 minute pills.“says the actor of titles like ‘Como Dios Manda’ or ‘El Pueblo’.

“We have also learned a lot from the British sketches, from the American world. A CONSCIOUS EDUCATION

In fiction, Mateo, Pérez Prada’s character, begins with very clear ideas about how he wants to educate his children, trying to put into practice a theoretical framework that does not quite work in reality, something that many parents can relate to.

“Nowadays, those of us who are mothers and fathers try to educate in a much more conscious way, much more through dialogue, from love, from talking, but it doesn’t always work and sometimes we are in that dichotomy where you get the ‘because I said so and that’s it’, as your mother used to say and you say, ‘oh, no, no, no, let’s see, honey, let’s talk about this.’ So, we are between one side and the other,” explains Hernández who, as his co-star indicates, As the mother of a 6-year-old girl, “she has helped a lot,” providing “advice on types of education.”

Regarding the role of technology in parenting, the actress declares herself “quite anti-screen”, revealing that she occasionally watches a movie with her daughter, but cell phones are “prohibited.”
