More than a hundred artists such as Nathy Peluso, Jedet, La Zowi, Belén Aguilera, Chanel, Luz Casal, Melody, Natalia Lacunza, Rosario Flores and Vanesa Martín have been the protagonists of the third edition of the EQUAL charity gala organized by Spotify.

The event, which took place this Tuesday in Madrid, has the objective of raising funds to promote equality for women in music. In fact, the funds raised will go to the ‘+Músicas’ association to promote the professional development of women in music through different programs to support their artistic and educational careers, as well as initiatives aimed at mental health.

Among the initiatives are the ‘Live’ projects, which will select five artists to perform at festivals; ‘Beat project’, focused on granting pockets of recording studio hours to developing artists; and the ‘Heart and Soul project’, a series of mental health sessions taught by specialist Rosana Corbacho, aimed at providing tools to manage the demands of the music sector.

Last 2025, EQUAL supported more than 1,200 ambassadors globally and generated more than 1.5 billion editorial views during the artists’ first month of participation in the program.

Among her ambassadors most heard in 2025 are Halsey, Sezen Aksu, Yuridia, Kenya Os, Asha Bhosle, Elena Rose, Belanova and Yeri Mua.

Precisely, in Spain in 2025, the number of Spanish artists on the list of the 100 most listened to songs has grown by 67% compared to 2021, when the program was launched. The most listened to ambassadors were Aitana, Bad Gyal, Lola Indigo, Marta Santos and Lia Kali.

Furthermore, of the ten most listened to albums in the world on Spotify in 2025, four are by female artists. Likewise, in 2025, the presence of female artists on Spotify’s charts grew by more than 30%, as well as 14% in the presence on the platform’s editorial charts.
