Chong, who has worked on Pixar sagas such as ‘Cars’ and ‘Toy Story’, is also creator of the Cartoon Network series ‘We Are Bears‘ in which, as in ‘Hoppers’, the protagonists are animals. “They are always a great metaphor,” he says, noting that “people can project different aspects of themselves onto them.” without having to think about race, gender or anything else“.
