Actress Catherine O’Hara has died

Actor Catherine O’Hara has died at the age of 71, says, among other things, an entertainment magazine Variety. O’Hara died on Friday, January 30 at his home in Los Angeles after a brief illness. This was confirmed to Variety by his manager.

O’Hara was born in 1954.

O’Hara became known especially for his roles Beetlejuice– and Alone at home in the movies. Alone at home and its sequel, O’Hara played Kate, the mother of the main character Kevin McCallister.

Played the boy Kevin in the hit movies of the 1990s Macaulay Culkin recalled his co-star in a social media update.

“Mom. I thought we had time,” he wrote on Instagram.

“I love you. See you later.”

Later O’Hara was also known as a Canadian Schitt’s Creek -series, in which she played Moira Rose, an impoverished millionaire family’s insanely funny and self-centered, likable actress-mother.

Born in Toronto, Canada, O’Hara’s Hollywood career started with a Canadian Second City Television -comedy series, for which he won his first Emmy in 1982. He received his second Emmy Schitt’s Creek -comedy series, for which he was also awarded with, among other things, a Golden Globe.

Last year he was also seen on Apple TV at The Studio as well as HBO in the supporting part The Last of Us in the series.
