Martha Stewart talks for the first time about the plastic surgeries she did

Over the years, the priestess of wellness and lifestyle Martha Stewart has amazed her audience with her young and fresh look that has raised quite a few questions. Until now, everyone assumed that she underwent various plastic surgeries to achieve this result – but she never revealed what exactly she did. Now, when she is 84 years old, she speaks for the first time about everything and claims: “I have never had plastic surgery.”

“Everybody insists I’ve had plastic surgery, and I’ve never had plastic surgery,” Stewart said in an interview with People magazine, while talking about her new skincare brand Elm Biosciences, which she launched last August. “I’m the most honest person in the world, but if they’re not ready to believe me, I don’t know,” she added. “How can they not believe me?”, she wondered, before emphasizing: “This is the truth!”.

However, Stewart admitted that a plastic surgeon did treat her face after an injury she experienced about a decade ago, but she does not consider it plastic surgery. “I was supposed to be on the Today morning show and there was a big snowstorm. I bent down in my dark kitchen to kiss the dogs goodbye,” she recalled of the accident, which involved one of her French bulldogs.

“I leaned towards one of my French bulldogs and startled her, and she jumped up,” she said. “She didn’t bite me. She smacked my lip with my teeth, and it opened my lip almost all the way to my nose, and the blood started pouring down the dog. It was 11 o’clock at night, in the middle of a blizzard. It’s the only time I’ve ever missed a show.”

Stewart said that she and a security guard drove through the storm to get to the hospital, where she asked for a plastic surgeon to examine her “immediately.” “I get to the hospital and I think I got 16 stitches,” she said. “I can’t call it plastic surgery, it’s a repair. It was a terrible, terrible, terrible tear in the lip, and now you can’t see it, I recovered so well. That’s all a plastic surgeon did to my face.”

After the launch of her skincare brand, Stewart did confess that she is no stranger to injections and Botox, and revealed which aesthetic treatments she makes sure to undergo. “I only do Botox here,” she said, pointing to the chin and neck area. “I do what I call corrections, so, some fillers. We work with some collagen in my cheeks.”
