Bernard d’Ormale, Brigitte Bardot’s husband, takes the helm of his foundation for animals

He was elected head of the foundation which has nearly 300 employees and 500 volunteers and manages four shelters and 150 partner pensions.

Brigitte Bardot’s husband, Bernard d’Ormale, was elected Friday as president of his foundation for animal causes, according to a press release. “Husband of Brigitte Bardot for 33 years, he accompanied her in life and in all of her fights for animals in distress. He will scrupulously ensure that the spirit desired by Brigitte Bardot for her foundation continues.”indicates the Brigitte Bardot Foundation. The same management team remains at the helm, and the “same ethics” will prevail.

Died on December 28 at the age of 91, the actress was confident in a final posthumous message of wishes published in January in the magazine of her foundation. “The fight will continue, with or without me…”she wrote about the future of the movement she created.
